Best Breathable Fabrics for Warm Weather
Linen is generally one of the best fabrics for warm weather, especially when it is lightweight and relatively open in construction. However, breathability is not determined by fibre content alone.
Fabric weight, density, weave or knit structure, thickness and finishing all affect how easily air and moisture vapour can move through a textile. A fine cotton muslin can therefore feel much cooler than a heavy cotton canvas, even though both are made from cotton.
For warm weather, look for fabrics that combine low weight, sufficient airflow and effective moisture management without feeling heavy or restrictive against the skin.
